While talking to Tara this morning, she told me that she's never made BISCUITS from SCRATCH. That's all I've ever known for a biscuit, so I thought I would post my dad's DELICIOUS recipe! Give them a try! You'll NEVER go back to BISQUICK. (At least I HOPE!)
1 3/4 cups Flour
1/2 tsp Salt
3 tsp Baking Powder
3-5 Tbsp Softened Butter
1/4 cup Powdered Milk & 3/4 cup water (or just 3/4 cup milk--but powdered is better in this recipe)
1 Tbsp Sugar
Preheat Oven 450 degrees
Combine all dry ingredients and cut in butter
Add wet ingredients
Roll out dough onto a floured surface
Use a mason jar lid or some other round cutter to cut out biscuits
Bake in oven for 10-12 minutes or until tops are lightly browned

Fantastic! I whipped these up in lieu of refrigerated tube biscuits and they were a hit! Added a little too much liquid for rolling, so I just dropped them on the pan and viola! Yummy biscuits! Thanks for sharing the recipe!
My wife made these the other day and I ate just about the whole batch! Great biscuits.
These are awesome,thanks for sharing!
Dough is so easy to work with, and taste is great, but mine didn't raise very much. Any suggestions? I will try these again because family liked them. Thanks and enjoyed your site!

If your biscuits don't rise chances are your baking powder is bad. Test it by putting some in some water.... It should bubble up some and kind of fizz. If it doesn't toss it and buy some fresh stuff.
The consistency of the dough was very gooey and I had to add more flour then they we're hard and not enough salt!!!! I will tweek it until perfection..

Perfect biscuits! I live at a higher elevation in a desert climate and was worried i'd need to add additional water but this recipe worked well here.
these biscuits area amazing. very much so. i put them in a cast iron skillet and they rose perfectly and tasted AMAZING....
If your baking powder is good then your issue maybe when you roll out your biscuits and cut them if you twisted the cutter to go all the way through them you seal the edges of the raw dough. When you seal the edges of the dough they can't rise. Just cut straight down and straight up.
Tried first time using this recipe they're very good
